FLSA Status: Exempt
Pay Range: $55,000 - $85,000 base salary plus commissions.
Location: Remote, with Pacific Standard Time working hours

The Inside Territory Representative is the primary customer liaison for all company products sold in the territory. The position is inside sales based and focuses on portfolios from Solmetex, Sterisil and DryShield. Developing strong relationships with customers and distribution partners is a key requirement for success. This role is also integrated closely with our marketing and special markets organizations, working in a collaborative team environment to create and successfully execute strategic campaigns.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Promoting sales of products to new and existing accounts through inbound and outbound sales activities to meet and exceed territory sales objectives.
  • Educates customers on product information including function, specifications, purpose, and developments in product design.
  • Rigorously follows a daily schedule/plan to consistently meet expectation for calls and administrative work to achieve sales and service level objectives.
  • Is solutions-minded, confidently delivers sales pitch that highlights the superiority of all company’s products and builds strong brand awareness.
  • Is the primary point of contact for the end user and dealer reps within the territory, building positive customer relationships and ensuring customer needs are met.
  • Employs intelligent use of technology and planning to expand the volume and quality of new leads.
  • Effectively manages sales pipeline with appropriate horizon of targets and activities to consistently achieve current and ongoing growth objectives.
  • Develops and maintains contact within industry, reporting important insights to management.
  • Enter all necessary customer activity in the CRM (Customer Relationship Management) database.

QUALIFICATIONS /COMPETENCIES

  • Strong prospecting skills, experience developing own lead opportunities, extensive product knowledge, sales planning ability and appropriate use of up-selling and cross-selling techniques.
  • Solid qualifying and discovery skills, understanding individual customer values and identifying economic drivers, ability to ask multi-layered questions revealing root cause issues, and the ability to teach and educate decision makers on differentiation of products.
  • Ability to persuade the customer and/or prospect in a positive professional manner leading to sales growth, and the ability to influence and persuade decision makers.
  • Ability to close sales over the phone and offer the customer a unique perspective.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

  • Must have proven strong interpersonal communication skills, both on and off the phone) to be able to interface with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Ability to draft reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers
  • Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
  • Communicates clearly and concisely verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or regulations.
  • Strong and comfortable presentation skills.
  • Ability to respond professionally and effectively to common inquiries or complaints from customers electronically and/or by phone.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or Healthcare or another related field required.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience of demonstrated successful inside sales experience in the dental industry.
  • Progressive work history with increasing responsibilities and achievements.
  • Demonstrated student of sales training ability to describe sales process.
  • Successful experience working with Dental Distribution partners to achieve customer goals.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

COMPUTER SKILLS

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in PC applications such as Order Processing systems, Contact Management systems, and Project Management software.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in Live Chat and Internet facilitation experiences.
