Do you want to make a difference in the lives of K-12 youth in Central Washington? Junior Achievement of Washington (JAWA) aims to inspire and prepare young people to own their own financial success through financial literacy programs designed to help them succeed in a global economy. JAWA is recruiting a Regional Director for the Central Washington (Yakima area) region. This is a remote office position with work in person locally. Applicants must reside in Central Washington/Yakima or surrounding cities.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Regional Director is responsible for the overall quality and effectiveness of Junior Achievement of Washington (JAWA) in the Central Washington (CW) region. This position provides leadership to JAWA’s development function to secure revenue and strengthen our work throughout the region. The position will work closely with the JAWA Program Manager to create local partnerships with schools, youth-serving, and service organizations with a mission to volunteer in the community. The role will also work closely with the CFO and Chief Advancement Officer to ensure that the region’s strategy supports the overall objectives of JAWA. Regional Directors are critical to the fluid operation of JAWA. This remote full time exempt position reports to the Senior Regional Director. The CW Regional applicants must reside within the Central Washington (Yakima) region in Washington State.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (ESSENTIAL DUTIES):

Fundraising:

  • Meet or exceed annual regional revenue goals and manage program funding and community support for Junior Achievement in Central Washington
  • Lead and manage the CW Board of Directors (BOD) to achieve the resource generation goals within the Region
  • Secure new donors for program and operating support to ensure attainment of annual revenue goals
  • Utilize donor database management system to track all donor interaction and fundraising activity
  • Create and manage annual fundraising events that apply to region and support the statewide events

Regional Board Management:

  • Motivate and provide professional support to CW Board of Directors
  • Meet annual goals on new board member recruitment (number goal, diversity, industry).
  • Assist in recruiting and training board leadership.
  • Lead the board to secure resources and spur program growth to align with meeting 100% of program demand.
  • Conduct four board meetings annually and serve as lead for all meeting logistics.
  • Work with JAWA President/CEO and Regional Board Chair to develop strategic initiatives that will fully engage the board and community leaders.

Community Engagement & Brand Championing:

  • Drive specific marketing initiatives to create greater awareness for Junior Achievement in Central Washington.
  • Develop new and innovative ways to grow the program each year with an emphasis on delivering a top-quality education program.

Quality and Service:

  • Track, manage, assist and respond to supporters, volunteers, board members and staff members in a timely, professional manner.
  • Maintain effective school/volunteer relationships to ensure top quality programs are being delivered in every JA classroom.

Program Goals and Management:

  • Support and manage all aspects of Junior Achievement program operations to achieve annual program goals.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

Anticipated Salary Range:

$74,522-$76,542
