Assistant Project Manager/Bid Coordinator

DRD Builders is looking for an experienced and career minded Assistant Project Manager/Bid Coordinator to work with our growing team. DRD Builders, Inc is a commercial general contractor with a large percentage of our business focused the QSR, fast food restaurant sector. Our projects are fast paced and require attention to detail. The person we will hire must possess the following qualifications:

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 5+ years within the commercial construction field

- Knowledge of restaurants/equipment is a plus

- Communicate effectively with sub-contractors, clients, and material suppliers

- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Project & BidMail

- Excellent time management skills and ability to work well under pressure

- Excellent problem-solving skills and professional demeanor

- Ability to prioritize, organize and multi-task

- Ability to build rapport with sub-contractors and clients

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Work well as a team and take direction from the project manager

Responsibilities will include:

- Oversee and coordinate project bids via BidMail

o Upload and distribute bid documents to subcontractors & vendors

o Initiate subcontractor and vendor submittals for approval from the Architect/Client with follow up.

o Ensure proper bid coverage for trades

- Assist project manger with a variety of tasks including:

o Communication with superintendents regarding job progress

o Preparation and process of construction documents

o Assist in maintaining project schedules and budgets

o Interpret drawings and documents in order to assist in estimate preparation

o Track and follow through with RFI’s

o Track and follow through with change order requests

o Assist with scheduling of subcontractors

o Procurement of misc. materials for onsite delivery

Benefits:

We offer an excellent benefits package upon completion of 60-day introductory probation period:

· Medical - employee is paid for 100% by employer; employee pays 100% for spouse and/or dependents.

· Holiday - minimum of 7 paid holidays per year.

· Vacation - 1 week first year and 2 weeks years 2-10. 3 weeks after 10th year of service; accrued monthly.

· Sick Pay - 5 paid sick days per year; accrued monthly.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
