Reports To: Area Sales Manager
FLSA Status: Exempt
Pay Range: $65,000 - $80,000 base salary plus commissions.
Location: Position based out of New England - Massachusetts or Connecticut preferred

SUMMARY

The Water Safety Specialist is an established sales professional whose primary responsibility in this position is account management, relationship development and achieving quota. This is accomplished by the successful execution of a business plan, that is driven by precise targeting and coverage of select accounts, audiences, products, and programs. In addition, maintaining existing relationships and business is a key priority. The Outside Territory Manager develops and executes monthly action plans that are in alignment with the company plans to maximize profitable growth while at the same time building customer loyalty and satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Operational Excellence
  • Achieves territorial sales objectives in all product categories.
  • Develops a monthly action plan that supports the needs of their territory.
  • Operates with a disciplined call process, following the product and customer detailed plans for their territory.
  • Regularly reviews the performance metrics of his/her territory in order to determine progress to their plan and adjusts accordingly.
  • Conscientiously works the “Sales Process” within each account
  • Implements a systematic conversion process after any new customer acquisition.
  • Maintains a comprehensive and accurate customer data base within the CRM system.
  • Develops and maintains a synergistic working relationship with marketing, the inside sales team, and the entire area team.
  • Completes and submits on a timely basis all required reports, data input requirements, requests. (i.e.: KPI’s, expense reports, literature and sample requests, PTO (Paid Time Off) summary, etc.)

Customer Excellence
  • Builds rapport with end users and dealer reps while recognizing the importance of relationships.
  • Effectively and conscientiously works his/her account base.
  • Demonstrates a consistent selling methodology.
  • Comfortably discusses business with the customer in a confident manner.
  • Penetrates accounts and develops long-term partnerships with appropriate audiences.
  • Creates call continuity/addresses opportunities from previous calls.
  • Effective probing & listening skills – takes detailed notes, prioritizes needs, and responds accordingly.
  • Adapts presentation to meet customer needs by relating specific benefits to customer’s core drivers.
  • Closes on Buying Signals – Results Oriented
  • Maintains high retention rate of customer base through delivery of outstanding service and effective analysis of the business needs of the customer.
  • Handles and processes customer service complaints in a timely and uniform manner.
  • Coordinates and hosts tradeshow exhibits, clinical meetings and product training sessions as assigned to build product demand.

  • With the support of his/her manager, creates a Development Action Plan and follows through on the developmental goals

QUALIFICATIONS /COMPETENCIES

  • Proficiency with computers, specifically in Windows and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to use various internal databases and appropriate software to make presentations to customers.
  • Strong and comfortable presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in professional selling skills.
  • Ability to meet divisional goals and key performance objectives/activities in accordance with established competencies and standards of behavior.
  • Ability to effectively demonstrate the core values of Solmetex.
  • Ability to travel within assigned territory to customer meetings, dealer branches, tradeshows and other meetings as required.
  • Ability to assess and qualify customer needs, provide excellent customer service, analyze territorial needs, and consistently demonstrate effective selling skills.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or Healthcare or another related field required.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience of demonstrated successful sales experience in the dental or healthcare industry.
  • Dental experience is preferred.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

COMPUTER SKILLS

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in PC applications such as Order Processing systems, Contact Management systems, and Project Management software.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in Live Chat and Internet facilitation experiences.
