WTVA Account Executive

WTVA TV, the Allen Media Broadcasting team in Northeast Mississippi, is looking for an experienced Sales Account Executive who is a self-starter and thrives in a goal-oriented team environment. As an Account Executive, you will be expected to work both at the station as well as outside of the station making sales calls and/or visiting with clients or potential clients daily.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain business on all platforms – TV, Digital and Events
• Prospect, contact and present to new businesses to generate new advertising revenue
• Create and deliver sales presentations to clients & agencies
• Ensure all revenue goals are achieved
• Form strategic business and market partnerships
• Collaborate with station departments to ensure client satisfaction
• Act as negotiator for assigned accounts; ensure proposals align with station strategies.

Required Skills

• Ability to multi-task within a fast-paced environment
• Excellent understanding of marketing, the advertising marketplace and competition
• A positive, results-oriented attitude and must be a team player
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, Google platform
• Strong formal and interpersonal communication skills

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience preferred
• Must have a proven track record in sales and new business development
• Experience in TV/Radio/Newspaper or other sales related experience is preferred
• Must have personal insured transportation & valid driver’s license
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
• Must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19
