Outside Sales Representative

REPORTS TO: Sales Manager

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION: Our Outside Sales Representative will be experienced and well-organized. They will work as an ambassador for Midwest Precision, Inc. and are responsible for establishing and maintaining good relationships with customers based on their assigned territory. They must build trust and act as support for prospects, ensuring they lead to potential future sales.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
• 5+ years’ experience in sales, preferably in manufacturing
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Able to travel frequently as required of the job; must have a clear motor vehicle report
• Must be able to stand and walk for long hours at a time
• Must be able to conduct business outside of regular business hours, including professional lunches and some nights or weekends

PRINCIPLE OBJECTIVES:

• Travel to service areas to represent the company and achieve the assigned goal
• Make outbound calls to sell company services
• Identify opportunities to improve sales performance
• Recommend improvements to boost performance to the sales team
• Monitor market conditions in relation to competitors
• Build strong and successful relationships with clients
• Deal with various technology and equipment to fulfill the job requirements
• Work with sales team to communicate any unforeseen delays or problems

• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Provide strong customer service and excellent rapport
• Demonstrate great persuasive, negotiation, interpersonal, and presentation skills
• Maintain proficiency in technology and dealing with equipment and software
• Ability to work independently with complete follow-through without prompting and adapt to changing conditions or priorities
• Ensure adherence to laws and policies
