Beach Eye Care is growing and looking for an upbeat customer-oriented Full or Part Time Optical Sales Consultant! Using the latest technology we are able to offer our patients state of the art lenses and treatments for their glasses. Interested candidates should enjoy a fast paced team oriented environment, be straight forward, have strong organizational and multitasking skills with high attention to detail. Candidates should also be dependable, positive, flexible, effective communicators as well as have the ability to work well with a diverse group of people. Our practice is only open till 12 noon on Saturdays, and closed on Sundays.
Non-licensed with optical experience is preferred and sales experience is a must. Compensation is industry competitive and we have an additional bonus commission structure.
An Optical Sales Consultant at Beach Eye Care is expected but not limited to:
Uphold Beach Eye Cares standards of customer service at all times.
Greet patients with a sense of urgency when they enter the department creating a warm and inviting environment during the hand-off in the exam room or when patients enter the Optical Department.
Have an acute sense of style to assist in helping patients during the frame selection process.
Drive sales in order to assist the department with making sales goals.
Know the current sales goal and stay in tune with current frame fashion trends.
Assist patients with issues on glasses. (i.e. Having issue with vision, progressive issues, etc.)
Wrap orders and notify patients when eyewear is ready.
Present patients with completed eyewear with the standards set by Beach Eye Care.
Perform adjustments and repairs on frames per Beach Eye Care standards.
Use the Doctor Driven Process and the DISC method to give the patient the best experience.
Be able to listen to listen and not listen to respond. Adapt to the patient's preferred communication style.
Recommend the best options for the patient based on the needs presented.
Ask questions during consultation to uncover any needs that a patient might have.
Keep the frame boards filled and current on all product during down time. Informs the Lead Optician if frames need to be ordered.
Check phone, text, and email messages and respond to patients in a timely manner.
Must have good interoffice and interdepartmental communication skills.
Requirements:
Sales experience required.
High school diploma or GED Required
Must be customer service oriented, have a strong sense of team work, and be able to resolve problems.
Must be able to multi-task and be self-motivated.
Should be able and willing to give and receive constructive feedback.
Must be able to create solutions to opportunities presented in the everyday work environment or new policy implementation.
Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays if needed. Must be flexible to any new changes in clinic and business hours or needs.
