Job Description: We are looking for an experienced Business Development / Sales Professional to develop new business in Eagan, MN, a suburb of Minneapolis, and the surrounding area. Responsible for generating new sales opportunities via phone, email or other electronic communication. Respond to customer order and quotation requests received via outside salespersons, telephone, e-mail, written, and faxed correspondence. Skills Requirements: knowledge of Domestic and international transportation processes Pricing/Quoting experience for all modes (air, ocean, rail, LCL, FCL, ground) Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general industry documentation/communications. Ability to present information and respond to questions from customers and partners. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Solid knowledge of domestic and international geography including countries, major cities Proven analytical and problem solving skills Experience reviewing and negotiating transportation contracts Experience Required: Prior Industry experience (Freight forwarding) 2-5 years Sales Experience Experience with Domestic and International Sales This is a permanent full-time position that requires detailed training.
