Position:  Inside Technical Sales / Customer Support

This sales position is multi-faceted involving a great deal of customer interaction and requires the ability to gain a technical understanding of our products. You will be the first point of contact for handling incoming customer inquiries, answering questions, developing opportunities, and managing issue resolution. You will ensure the right people and resources are applied to quickly satisfying the customer’s requirements.  In addition, you will be comfortable proactively calling customers to introduce them to Transducers Direct’s technology, products, and our value-added proposition.  You will be trained on our products and system in order to answer questions regarding product requirements, orders, and the customer’s account.  You will maintain a high level of organization, follow-up, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.  You will own the entire customer experience by ensuring all customer needs and requirements are met quickly and accurately.

This position works out of our office in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Essential Job Functions

  • Sales
    • Be the first point of contact for customer questions, product selection, getting orders, and resolving issues
    • Involve appropriate additional resources within the company to satisfy the customer’s needs quickly and accurately
    • Proactively call prospects to introduce them to Transducers Direct, our technology, products, and value-added proposition
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure customers receive what they were promised—completely, accurately, and on-time
    • Generate quotes and perform customer follow-up tasks daily
    • Talk to customers on the phone, via email, and through online chat
    • Communicate customer’s requirements effectively to other departments within the company
    • Gain a technical understanding of all products and help direct customers to the appropriate product for their application

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of Inside Sales and/or Customer Service experience required
  • Experience calling out to prospects and doing discovery in order to find new sales opportunities
  • Ability and willingness to gain a high level of technical knowledge of our products
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy a must
  • Problem solving & process improvement skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
