Job Description

As a Trade Sales Representative, you will strategically target potential new and existing trade customers (Builders, Architects, Homeowners, Contractors and Developers) to generate new business by converting or growing loyalty to the Marvin family of brands while also promoting our value-added services.

Responsibilities include:

  • Grow and expand business/sales accounts in assigned territory to gain product loyalty and repeat business
  • Convert prospects into repeat customers
  • Develop and execute sales strategies and marketing initiative
  • Proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer needs on an ongoing basis
  • Foster relationships with key decision makers; providing well rounded solutions and market expertise
  • Engage in forward selling utilizing consultative sales techniques
  • Provide training and consultation when needed to promote Marvin products and the value-added services we provided by AVI
  • Attend trade shows and trade events

  • Minimum of 3 years of successful outside sales experience
  • Experience selling value or whole product solutions
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
  • Self-driven with a high level of work ethic and integrity
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Excellent follow-up and follow through
  • Building Materials or Construction industry experience preferred
  • Ability to work with required technology and software applications (Microsoft Office - Outlook, Excel, Word, Salesforce or CRM a strong plus)
