The New Sales Development Associate is responsible for developing new business by contacting potential customers, prepare quotes, handle all product inquiries, and provide product suggestions to increase sales.

Principal Job Responsibilities:

  • Make outbound calls to potential customers
  • Take incoming calls from customers and address customer service issues
  • Prepare sales quotes for spot sales, government/program bid requests and long-term contract purchases
  • Handle incoming orders from the customer, including coding, pricing, proofreading
  • Handle general sales and product inquiries on a daily basis
  • Services accounts, obtains orders, and grows business by adding new items or increasing volume
  • Focuses sales efforts by studying customer history.
  • Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans
  • Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products
  • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge
  • Provides historical reports by maintaining records of customer sales

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college course work or associate degree preferred
  • Years of experience: 5 years

Physical Demands of the Position:

  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. and be able to sit for prolonged periods of time.
