Armstrong Steel is seeking an Inside Sales Representative-Building Consultant to join our growing team. We have grown from a small steel building supply company to one of the largest manufacturers of pre-engineered metal buildings in the nation. Our excellent quality has catapulted us into national prominence, translating to warm leads for our inside sales team. The right Inside Sales Representative will be a dedicated, creative, goal-driven individual who is passionate about sales and is excited by the opportunity to work hand-in-hand with small businesses and consumers throughout the country on their construction/steel building projects.

In this role, you’ll be making a high volume of daily calls, developing relationships with new clients and solving their problems quickly with appropriate solutions. An Inside Sales Representative with great written and verbal communications skills will do well in this role, maximizing earning potential. While previous sales and construction industry experience is helpful, we put all of our newest reps through a week-long “bootcamp”, where you will learn advanced sales techniques from our team of successful experts. For more experienced reps, we maintain a structured coaching program that allows our team to knock down their targets and maximize individual earnings.

To the right Inside Sales Representative, we offer:

  • Base salary plus uncapped commission with first year on target earnings of $35,000 - 65,000

Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Qualifying incoming website and telephone leads
  • Maintaining an active pipeline in Salesforce CRM
  • Set and achieve monthly sales targets
  • Present appropriate solutions to qualified sales leads at the right time in the sales process
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications include: 

  • High school diploma
  • At least 6 months – 1 year of previous sales/customer service experience
  • Experience using a CRM (Salesforce specifically a plus)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong desire to be successful in sales
