We are experiencing significant growth and are looking for an accomplished outside Sales Rep/Account Manager to join our team.  Character, attitude and ability are more important than industry experience, although industry experience is a plus.  The successful person will have excellent and proven selling and relationship building skills, thirst for knowledge and possess the ability to understand and convey technical details associated with our products and their applications.

The ideal candidate is someone who has exceptional skills in building and maintaining relationships.  Other key attributes of the ideal candidate include being able to perform independently, being highly responsive, possessing a high level of intelligence and integrity, resilient, persuasive and will naturally deliver exceptional customer service.
 
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of job duties, including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Pursuing business opportunities from new and existing accounts by establishing and maintaining deep relationships with architects, engineers, designers, general contractors and business owners, developing trust, creating awareness of G&S products and services, creating dependency, being responsive and keeping clients informed and educated on products, services and trends in the industry.  Activities would include conducting lunch & learns, networking (days or evenings), being active in associations and other industry related groups.
     
  • Monitoring sales leads, responding to requests from contractors, preparing project estimates, proposals and quotations, establishing pricing, and coordinating with internal staff for product take-offs and project management.
     
  • Learning and becoming proficient with all G&S product lines, manufacturers, vendors and installation methods to become an expert on product selection with clients.
     
  • Managing a pipeline of business, keeping organized and current on all opportunities using our CRM (Customer Relationship Management) program.

Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to expand sales from new and existing customers.
  • Have a solid technical aptitude and good visualization skills.
  • Have high energy, drive and a friendly personality.
  • Be thirsty for knowledge, curious and creative.
  • Have a proper degree of empathy to relate to customers.
  • Skilled at handling multiple tasks/projects with minimal supervision.
  • Be proficient with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.

Helpful but not required:

  • Bachelors or technical degree in engineering, business or a related field.
  • Prior technical product experience with construction products.
  • Blueprint reading and knowledge of construction documents.
