Sr Pre-Sales Engineer - Cloud Computing - Northeast (5 Openings) - 27026250

Our client is a well-funded start-up that is maximizing an Entrprise's investment in the Cloud. They are looking for multiple (5) talented System Engineers with extensive experience (5-7 years) in virtualization (VCP-DCV) and Cloud computing architectures in the Northeast (3 in NY, 1 in Philly, 1 in Boston). Cloud certification (Azure, AWS, vCloud Air) is a Big +!

Position Overview:

The Senior Pre-Sales Engineer is responsible for professionally presenting and demonstrating the most technical aspects of company’s framework, understanding and defining customer requirements and proposing the best solution for a client’s needs. The Senior Pre-Sales Engineer acts as the “voice of the customer” and the technical conscience in all sales engagements. This is an individual contributor role with the potential for promotion to Technical Management, Product Management or Product Marketing.

The ideal candidate would be from a public Cloud vendor (AWS, MS Azure, VMWare vCloud Air) or would be a Systems Integrator SE certified in one or several of the leading Cloud vendors (AWS, MS Azure, VMWare vCloud Air, Google Cloud, IBM Cloud). Companies like Rackspace, Nimble, EMC/Dell, Citrix, CA Consulting, Accenture Consulting, etc. would also work.

Folks from a heavy infrastructure virtualization and/or converged or hyperconverged background would also be a fit if they are cloud-focused. These are IaaS deals at the enterprise level.

 

CANDIDATE PROFILE:

  • Extensive experience (5-7) years in virtualization (VCP-DCV) and cloud computing architectures. Cloud certification (Azure, AWS, vCloud Air a deciding plus)!
  • 7-10+ years in data center infrastructure or related field in a sales engineering or consulting capacity.
  • Experience meeting with sales prospects in person, understanding complex environments and delivering the value propositions effectively.
  • Use consultative selling to identify customer pain points associated with large virtual and cloud environments.
  • Lead technical presentations in person and assist sales directors with ROI presentations.
  • Conduct product demonstrations online (WebEx, GTM, Zoom) and in-person.
  • Convey and document technical requirements to prove business value across large organizations within associated sales region.
  • Address any and all pre-sales technical questions related to the full Proof of Concept (POC) cycle.


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a related discipline desired, or equivalent work experience.

 

Base Salary:  $135,000.00 - $175,000.00 (DOE),

On-Target-Earnings:  $170,000.00 - $220,[please apply online], No Cap + EQUITY + Great Benefits + Full Expenses (Car)

Locations: (3) openings in NY Metro, (1) opening in Philly Metro & (1) opening in Boston

Relocation: No (Home Office)- Must live in territory.

Positions: 5 Openings

Travel: 30%
