Our client, located in the western suburbs of Philadelphia, is seeking a Vice President of Sales. The company develops innovative OTC dermatological products to meet their clients needs and is an established company in the industry.

This position is responsible for developing key accounts in the Food, Drug and Mass Merchandise stores, managing the organizations sales process and a broker network. You will have accounts and channels for which you are primarily responsible, and accounts and channels which you will oversee and enable your team for success. You must have a proven track record of successful sales and sales management to large accounts in Food, Drug, Mass Merchandise (Target, Wal-Mart), other big box stores, drug wholesalers and dot coms.

Duties and Responsibilities

Effectively manage existing and new customer relationships.
Responsible for executing sales goals and margin targets.
Implement customer programs to expand portfolio of products in the Retail & Internet Channels.
Work with various internal departments to communicate and align customer needs.
Develop strategic business plans with key accounts to grow market share within the channels.
Engage in channel exploration and development.
Prepare new item presentations, trade marketing presentations and business reviews.
Manage Broker Agents to drive sales initiatives.
Identify product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
Work with marketing to develop custom programs, planograms, POP and merchandising solutions to increase retail presence and presentation.
Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
Engage in field activity as needed, including assisting with product merchandising. You will manage your schedule with 10 to 25 % travel required.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices and participating in professional societies.

Skills and Qualifications

Bachelors degree or equivalent.
10+ years proven experience selling premium products (not commodities) to national key accounts and big box retailers on a corporate level.
Proven track record of generating and closing sales leads; exceptional negotiation skills.
Proficiency in managing a Broker Network and developing and managing sales people.
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills; able to articulate clearly and effectively over the phone and in person.
Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel and the ability to learn new software quickly.
