The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for developing Java City business within a defined territory. The BDR will contribute to sales growth through a combination of networking, conducting business reviews and working with location management to ensure operational excellence.

Business Development:

Builds strong relationships with existing and potential customers to assist them with profitable business growth
Uses a consultative sales approach to lead customers to a best fit solution
Develops sales leads within key business channels
Creates and delivers sales presentations tailored to fit customer needs
Maintains accurate tracking of sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, account wins and follow up activities
Conducts periodic business reviews with key accounts to identify areas of opportunity

Facilitates training programs utilizing Java City workbooks, binders and Power Point classes combined with hands-on training techniques
Conducts train the trainer sessions to ensure Java City operational standards are supported by location management
Provides periodic coaching sessions for in-store team to ensure proper techniques and standards are executed successfully
Operational Excellence:

Conducts periodic location assessments to review product quality, guest service, sales & marketing, staff training, equipment performance, inventory levels and location profitability
Documents areas of opportunity through written action plans in addition to in-person meetings with location management
Performs equipment calibration on coffee and espresso equipment to ensure optimum flavor characteristics and product yield
Performs merchandising and oversees equipment installation for new locations

Four year college degree with a concentration in Food & Beverage or equivalent experience
Knowledge of food & beverage operations and best practices and procedures
Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint and ability to use/learn company specialized software and hardware
Ability to listen, interpret and communicate new information effectively in both written and oral form
High degree of organization, ability to prioritize, attention to detail and ability to multi-task
Interpersonal skills required to interface effectively with all levels of management, both in the field and at the corporate office
Excellent customer service, written, verbal and interpersonal communication and presentation skills
Ability to locate cost-effective and book online travel arrangements

Valid Drivers License and current proof of insurance
