Full-time, Base + Commission

Sourcewater ( is the fastest-growing “Software as a Service” (Saas) company in oil and gas water data today. The founders managed to hit on a great idea at just at the right time, and now are poised to explode sales with rising oil prices. We have increased sales 1000% in the last 3 months and have over 1200 active users. Our team is growing and we are looking for an experienced, energetic Sales Development Representative (Inside Sales) looking to make a difference in the Texas Oil and Gas Market. 

You will be a key member of a growing sales team focused on selling Sourcewater’s online GIS Data product to oil and gas operators and service companies in the Permian Basin Upstream Water Management space.

A Sales Development Representative is a salesperson-in-training. For a year, you’ll help Account Executives cultivate leads and sell Sourcewater to businesses. After a year of apprenticeship, you’ll begin to nurture leads on your own, and will take a generous commission for the relationships you help to create…which means that if you work hard, you can out-earn many of your peers.

Your First 2 Months

  • Learn the Sourcewater product and messaging.
  • Learn the oil and gas water market and market segments
  • Learn the tools necessary to be successful: CRM, scripts,, product info/sales materials.
  • Build relationships with your Account Executive, Team Lead, Sales Engineer, and Support Team.
  • Leverage any opportunity you can to learn the market and the business.
  • Consistently meet goals for initial presentation setup.

6-18 Months

  • Continue to build on your core skills and product/industry knowledge.
  • Know what it takes to meet or exceed your goals and maintain momentum to do so.
  • Begin to expand your knowledge of Inside Sales duties and responsibilities.
  • Work with mentors to set goals for yourself to gain consideration for promotion.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

You will be responsible for prospecting and qualifying new opportunities for Account Executives by making between 100-200 calls per day to vetted and targeted prospect lists in a number of verticals in Upstream Oil and Gas. We will provide you the opportunity to make contributions immediately while developing the skills and knowledge to be successful.

  • Aggressively prospect, develop, and set qualified demonstration for Account Executives.
  • Track activity, deal flow, and prospect/client information in Prosperwork CRM.
  • Meet and exceed individual daily, weekly and monthly sales goals.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 1+ years sales experience in a Sales Development Role/Account Executive/ or other sales role.
  • Oil and gas sales experience preferred.
