Candidate qualifications should include the following:

  • Experience in plastic packaging industry highly preferred

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (a master's degree is a plus).
  • Substantial experience in sales leadership roles, preferably in the tangible goods industry.
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and achieving revenue targets in a similar industry.
  • Experience in managing a sales team and developing successful sales strategies.

Industry Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of the tangible goods industry, preferably packaging, including market trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape.
  • Knowledge of distribution channels, supply chain management, and logistics involved, preferably packaging sales.

Leadership and Management:

  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team.
  • Proven experience in recruiting, training, and managing high-performing, motivated sales professionals.
  • Ability to set and monitor clear sales objectives, KPIs, and performance expectations.
  • Strong coaching and mentoring abilities to support the professional development of the sales team.

Sales Expertise:

  • In-depth knowledge of sales strategies, techniques, and best practices in tangible goods, preferably the packaging industry.
  • Experience in building and executing successful sales plans, including market penetration, customer acquisition, and account management strategies.
  • Proficiency in sales forecasting, pipeline management, and sales data analysis.
  • Ability to identify new market opportunities and develop strategies to expand the customer base.

Communication and Relationship Building:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships with key stakeholders, customers, and partners.
  • Strong negotiation skills for securing deals and partnerships with clients, distributors, and retailers.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, such as marketing, product development, and operations.

Results-Driven and Strategic Thinking:

  • Proven ability to achieve sales targets and drive revenue growth.
  • Strategic thinking to develop long-term sales plans aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Analytical skills to assess market conditions, competitive landscape, and customer insights to inform sales strategies.

Compensation Structure:

  • Negotiable Base Plus Commission plus Bonus
  • % Commission on gross profit or another profitability matrix.
  • Full Benefits including health, dental, vision, and 401K.
  • No limit PTO.
  • If the company makes more money, you make more money.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $220,000.00 per year
