Position Title: Plumbing and HVAC Sales Specialist/Estimator

Wage Range: $20-24/hr

Job Summary

Support and meet the overall sales objectives of Allstate Plumbing Heat & Air. Supports the plumbing/HVAC sales team with new, remodel/retrofit and replacement project estimates that meet our client’s expectations. Work directly with customers and Field technicians in delivering detailed and accurate estimates in a timely manner.

A successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Prepare Plumbing/HVAC cost estimates for Service projects.
• Consult with clients on-site, vendors, and Allstate Plumbing Heat & Air personnel in various departments to discuss, review, and formulate project scope and estimates.

· Reviews blueprints, building codes, or specifications to determine work details or procedures.

· Generates estimates related to time, materials, and/or labor costs for repair jobs or project plans for Company.

· Inspects structures to assess material or equipment needs or to plan installation around obstructions.

· Collaborate with the Production Manager to assist in the creation and updates of the sales training program and coaching assignments.

· Performs related work as assigned.

· Clean and Neat professional appearance; a top performer who can instill pride of workmanship in yourself and others.

· Coach Service Technicians utilizing key metrics to drive the team to achieve company sales targets

· Plan all contracted work in accordance with local code and in coordination with Plumbing Manager

· Solicits subcontractor and vendor pricing and ensures proper scope inclusion

· Takes initiative to follow up with site visits and shortcomings/successes of estimate with the project team. (Sales Coaching)

· Follows up with Estimates diligently.

· Created Sales Targets, daily and weekly goals for Team.

· Creates and Implements Sales Strategies to increase sales revenue.

Provide sales support to techs who install, maintain, service, or repair plumbing fixtures, system, and/or equipment to meet service demands and customer expectations.

Estimator responsibilities include creation of estimates and projects in Service Titan, tracking the cost of the estimate and/or project to the company, understanding customer specification, and ordering of materials in advance. This analysis has to be discussed and presented to upper management. (Mike)

Promote Maintenance/Membership Agreements

Qualified candidates will possess the following education and experience:

• Fast paced plumbing service company needs hands on with plumbing knowledge to know what all projects entail to give out bidding
• To research and gain pricing from all aspects of vendors and set up proposals for customers
• Inspect plans and specifications of projects
• Bilingual - helpful but not mandatory
• Knowledge of microsoft software (word & excel)
• Knowledge of Dispatch software (Service Titan)Ability to learn and conduct on-screen take offs
• Advanced computer skills with proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and OST On-Screen Take Off Software (preferred but not required)
• Organizational skills and attention to detail are essential
• Dependable, hardworking, focused, and highly motivated
• Manage multiple tasks and respond to multiple requests simultaneously
• Prioritize work load and meet deadlines
• 2+ yrs with commercial construction projects or HVAC technical training preferred

Plumbing knowledge is essential

• Desired 3+ years of Plumbing/HVAC/ Mechanical experience. Estimating experience is required.
• High School Diploma/GED required
• Take-off experience
• Strong proficiency in Windows operating environment, including email and Microsoft Office software
• Strong interpersonal and decision-making skills
• Ability to effectively communicate with people at different levels within the organization
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment or independently, flexibility to adapt to changing needs/situations
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving ability
• Resource management
• Attention to details
• Ability to conceptualize and fill-in design intent
• Demonstrated ability to track multiple projects at the same time, and to work under pressure, often to tight deadlines.
• Understanding that Estimates are time sensitive

This position takes place in a general office environment and Onsite Estimates will be required. The work environment is generally favorable. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.
