Gently.io is a logistics start-up company that specializes in providing shipping solutions to retailers in the health and beauty, wellness products, clothes, and non-perishables sectors. We are seeking a driven and experienced Account Executive to join our team and help us expand our customer base. As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities by cold calling potential clients, attending conferences and trade shows, and managing warm leads.
Responsibilities:
- Make cold calls to potential clients and schedule appointments to present our shipping solutions
- Attend conferences and trade shows to network and promote our services to potential clients
- Nurture warm leads and turn them into paying clients
- Understand client needs and offer appropriate shipping solutions that meet their requirements
- Maintain accurate records of all sales activities
- Work with the sales team to develop sales strategies and improve performance
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and market changes to identify new opportunities for growth
- Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
- Build strong relationships with clients to ensure customer satisfaction and retention
- Report regularly to the sales manager on sales activities, progress, and challenges
Requirements:
- 3-6 years of sales experience, with a focus on SaaS sales and business development
- A start-up attitude with a passion for building something great
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Strong cold calling and networking skills
- Knowledge of logistics and shipping is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred
- Willingness to travel for business purposes
- Ideal candidates will be fully in-person in Santa Monica, but we are flexible for great candidates
Offering:
We offer a competitive base salary of 75k, with uncapped commission opportunities based on performance. We are looking for a self-motivated and ambitious sales professional who shares our passion for building something great.
