Are you looking to build a career in an exciting new industry? Founded in 2020 in Oakland, California, Pacific Substrates is an agriculture commodity manufacturer located in Edmond, Oklahoma, making mushroom cultivation economically viable for individuals and businesses alike. We have acquired the necessary licenses, national distributors, team members, equipment, and facilities to distribute our products to retailers across the United States to meet the growing demand for specialty mushrooms, without sacrificing quality.

The Account Manager will be responsible for converting sales leads and generating business with new and pre-existing customers. With minimal supervision, the Inside Sales Representative should research and analyze market territories. The Account Manager should be self-motivated and should have proven experience with independently closing sales and meeting monthly and quarterly targets. In order to accommodate for both our east coast and west coast accounts, this is a hybrid position, requiring in-office work 2 days a week, 3 days remote. Occasional, light regional travel may be required.

In an exciting, rapidly growing industry, there is potential to attain a 6-figure commission, in addition to salary, within your first year of employment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

● Source and secure new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-ups and outbound cold calls and emails to maintain a robust sales pipeline

● Lead generation, management, and outbound telemarketing

● Establish appointments for outside sales representatives when needed.

● Track sales cycle progress on a monthly and quarterly basis to make sure customer acquisition goals are met.

● Negotiate contract terms and close sales deals.

● Identify business opportunities by attending professional and personal networking events.

● Understand customers’ needs and recommend solutions when needed.

● Build customer relationships with existing clients through text messaging, phone calls, and emails to increase the likelihood of return business.

● Keep up with knowledge of products and services offered and inform customers of new offerings.

● Create and maintain a database of current and potential customers through CRM.

● Stay informed with industry developments and competitive landscape.

● Proven ability to upsell products and services when needed.

● Ability to assist customer support through product knowledge and company policies.

● Assist in resolving customer complaints regarding sales and distribution.

● Deliver compelling sales presentations, demonstrations, and proposals.

● Other duties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

● Proven account manager experience, specifically inside sales

● Strong negotiation skills

● Excellent verbal and written communication skills

● Self-motivated and results-oriented with a proactive approach.

● Strong listening and presentation skills

● Experience working with ZenDesk or similar CRM

● Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively

● Strong customer service skills

● Computer proficiency

● High school diploma, required

● Bachelor’s degree, preferred

● Must be at least 21 years of age
