Description: Delta Dental of Arizona, the state's #1 dental and vision insurance company, is looking for a driven Inside Sales Executive, to join our mission-driven health and wellness organization. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Commercial Growth, the Inside Sales Executive will be responsible for selling specialty benefits products and new wellness products to small businesses over the phone and through digital communication channels. This role involves managing inbound and outbound sales activities, developing relationships with brokers, and achieving sales targets in the small group segment. You thrive meeting new people and understand the world of group benefits and underwriting. With that knowledge, you can build and maintain relationships with brokers to ensure your clients are happy and taken care of. Please read on! * Essential Duties & Responsibilities * Sales Generation: * Proactively reach out to brokers to introduce the Delta Dental of Arizona value proposition and sell products. * Respond to inbound leads and inquiries generated through marketing campaigns, website traffic, and broker referrals. * Conduct needs assessments to recommend appropriate health products that meet the needs of small group clients. * Assist brokers with presentations to groups with 10-49 eligible employees. * Proactively follow up with agents and direct-to-carrier quotes for groups with 2-9 eligible employees. * Broker Relationships: * Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers to maximize sales opportunities and ensure client satisfaction. * Prequalify new agents to determine their specialization in group or individual insurance. * Provide ongoing support, product education, and updates to brokers to encourage repeat business and referrals. * Sales Process Management: * Analyze and secure all pertinent information and data for sound underwriting and pricing for prospective 2-9 and 10-49 eligible employee groups, including comparison to current plans when applicable. * Maintain a pipeline of potential clients using Salesforce, tracking sales activities, follow-ups, and opportunities to ensure timely and effective sales execution. * Track win-lost data and competitive information. * Collaboration and Communication: * Collaborate with the Commercial Growth team and Marketing team to leverage campaigns, webinars, and other resources to generate leads and drive sales. * Work closely with the Underwriting and Product teams to understand product offerings, pricing, and eligibility requirements. * Market and Product Knowledge: * Stay informed about the specialty health insurance and wellness benefits market, industry trends, and competitors to effectively position the company's products. * Keep up to date with product changes, updates, and new offerings to ensure accurate communication with brokers. * Participate in community, business, and industry organizations as appropriate (i.e., associations, chambers and tradeshows). Requirements: * Education and Experience: * Bachelor's degree is preferred. * A minimum of 2 years of medical or ancillary benefits insurance experience. * Current Arizona insurance license for Health, Life and Disability (must reside in Arizona). * Skills and Competencies: * Knowledge of group benefits and underwriting. * Excellent planning, organizing, and business judgment skills. * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Abilty to present in large or small group settings. * Must have a valid driver's licence (and car). * Personal Attributes: * Results-oriented with a strong drive to achieve and exceed goals. * High level of integrity and professionalism. * Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment. * Customer-focused with a passion for delivering exceptional service. Starting pay for this position includes a starting base pay range of $43,000 - $74,900 plus a monthly commission plan.
