Construction Sales Manager Skips Wastewater Services is the leading full-service wastewater provider specializing in septic tank and grease trap pumping, septic system repairs and installations, septic inspections, and more. We are committed to protecting the environment by ensuring the proper health of wastewater disposal systems through maintenance and education. We are seeking a motivated, results-driven Construction Sales Manager to drive new business and manage customer relationships. The ideal candidate will combine construction or home services experience with strong sales skills, leadership, and technical expertise. This is a hands-on role that demands an individual who thrives in fast-paced environments, is skilled at building relationships, and is committed to delivering quality services and communication to customers. Key Responsibilities: Sales & Business Development: * Act as the primary point of contact for new and existing customers, handling sales inquiries and providing proposals for septic system installations and major repairs. * Identify and pursue new business opportunities, build long-term relationships with customers, and ensure repeat business. * Provide accurate estimates and negotiate contracts, ensuring a smooth transition from sales to project execution. Project Management Assistance: * Work closely with Skips' Project Managers and assist in scheduling construction crews, subcontractors, and field staff to ensure productivity and timely completion of projects. * Coordinate with health departments to schedule various inspections. * Manage multiple sales inquiries at different stages simultaneously, making sure customers are aware of what stage they are at in the project lifecycle. * Foster strong working relationships with customers, subcontractors, and health department inspectors. Customer Relationship Management: * Serve as the main contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle, addressing concerns, providing updates, and ensuring customer satisfaction. * Maintain high customer retention rates by delivering excellent service and ensuring projects are completed according to customer expectations. Qualifications : Experience: * Proven experience in sales, with the ability to sell construction services, generate leads, and close deals. * Familiarity with managing subcontractors and handling inspections. * Experience with managing multiple projects simultaneously, ideally at various stages. Intangibles: * Empathetic with customers; understand their wants and needs. * Personable and able to build rapport with customers, subcontractors, and inspectors. * Strong sales acumen and the ability to drive business while delivering excellent customer service. * Self-motivated, with excellent time management and multitasking abilities. * Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on quick, effective decision-making. * Safety-conscious and able to promote a safe working environment. Physical Requirements: * Must be physically fit, with the ability to lift, climb, shovel, and perform basic jobsite tasks as needed. * Ability to work in all weather conditions. * Drug-free, with no tolerance for substance abuse during working hours.
