An Application Engineer develops strong relationships with the industrial clients (distribution, manufacturing, etc.) and provides them with exceptional material handling and automation solutions to meet their business requirements. The engineered solutions require an excellent understanding of autonomous vehicles, material flow, information flow, and general business processes. Helps companies compete in their markets by providing the best material handling system solutions and technology. The solutions improve overall productivity of our customer's operations.

Job Functions

• Develop strong relationships with our customers through timely, regular visits
• Promote Bastian Solutions in all appropriate forums
• Sell a variety of autonomous vehicle products and services to meet your customer’s needs
• Master product information through training and personal efforts
• Provide professional quotes in a timely manner.
• Master business technology (AutoCad, CRM, Power Point presentations, etc.)
• Plan strategies for customer account penetration/account management
• Pursue leads from our Web Site and suppliers
• Maintain customer database information current in our CRM
• Communicate strategic information regarding suppliers, customers and competition
• Communicate with other team members effectively
• Represent our autonomous vehicle products, as well as, key product lines and services provided by Bastian.
• Attend weekly sales meeting and other scheduled meetings
• Complete all administrative tasks/paperwork in a timely manner
• Use creative concepts to sell superior solutions to our customers

Travel Requirements

• 25% overnight travel (Travel expenses paid by Bastian Solutions)

Preferred Skills and Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, Engineering degree or equivalent sales experience preferred
• Technical sales experience in the industrial sector a plus
• Material Handling automation design and sales experience a plus
• CAD experience (AutoCad a plus)
• Must be eligible to work in the USA long term without sponsorship.
• Entrepreneurial. Optimistic about pursuing opportunities
• Loves meeting people and building relationships
• Comfortable operating independently, autonomously
• Strong sense of customer service
• Team player and will bring others in to win a sale
