Mon-Friday (4 full days– open to discussion) Saturday Required 8am-2pm

Responsibilities:

• Manage in-house accounts and build new business relationships
• Assist customers with their purchases and provide product information and recommendations.
• Participate in sample ordering and design when needed. Provide samples to trade accounts, referrals and walk-in clientele.
• Direct vendor communication to verify stock, place orders, and receive order updates.
• Ringing up sales and arranging for delivery or pick-up of the customer’s order if needed.
• Handle customer complaints and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Help maintain the cleanliness of the showroom layout with routine set up of samples and displays
• Saturdays are required. We’d like to offer one day off during the week that works best for your schedule. That can be Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday.

Requirements:

• Design Sales experience; landscape/hardscape/outdoor lifestyle preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and time management skills, balancing multiple priorities and working well under pressure in a retail environment.
• Emphasis on exceptional customer service
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Sales experience
• Proficiency in using computer software and POS systems
• General math skills.
• Strong people management skills.
• Knowledge of building materials and construction is a plus.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Job Description:

Ace Building materials is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Retail Associate to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store, and achieving sales goals, making recommendations, answering questions and explaining the features of products. Other common duties include operating cash registers, preparing displays.

Pay: $18 to $22 per hour based on experience, plus commission.
