DME Hospital Liaison

About this role

When a patient is discharged from a hospital, their doctor often prescribes devices required to live safely at home. Our company provides these devices.

In this role, you work in various healthcare facilities and become the conduit between the patient, the hospital staff, and Diamond. You review patient charts, ensure that insurance requirements are met, and coordinate the delivery of the devices.

A big part of this role is building relationships with the hospital staff and becoming their go-to source for help with patient equipment issues.

Responsibilities

• Building relationships with key individuals within assigned hospitals and other facilities
• Reviewing patient charts and ensuring their insurance requirements are met
• Coordinating with internal staff to properly dispense products to the patient at the bedside
• Train the patient and/or caretaker in the proper use of the devices you’re delivering
• Educate hospital staff on new devices and insurance requirements on an ongoing basis

Physical Demands

You will likely walk long distances across large healthcare campuses in this role. You will also need to carry items weighing up to 50 pounds regularly.

Work Experience Preferred

• Strong customer service skills and experience
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Prior sales experience where you were responsible for building relationships
• A clean driving record

Pay: $76,138.00 - $81,626.00 per year
