Fully Remote Position

Who We Are Looking For


Account Executives at Class are responsible for developing new client relationships, supporting the evaluation and decision for Class, and winning net new customers. You’ll work closely with a team that includes sales development representatives (SDRs), marketers, solution engineers, and your sales leader to help grow and manage your territory. You're responsible for direct client contact, in which you’ll educate and credibly engage with executives and educators about Class in a way that helps decision making teams design and implement the Class platform.

You’ll achieve an assigned goals and quota by developing and executing on a territory plan and building the company brand, and impact on education. You have experience working with colleges and universities shaping vision and activating change management plans. You have a passion for the higher education market and desire to partner with leaders to enable a brighter more equitable future for learners.


About You

  • You’re a confident communicator on the phone and in video conferences and you’re able to convey passion and enthusiasm for the product you're selling
  • You are genuinely curious and your thoughtful questions engage people in rich discussions that enable decisions
  • You're assertive, persistent, persuasive, and an excellent listener. You’re comfortable taking control of a conversation and moving the ball forward each time you speak with someone
  • You’re coachable, desire feedback for growth, and seek continuous improvement in your profession.
  • You are adaptable and can think on your feet. When faced with new challenges, failure simply isn't an option and can navigate change and ambiguity
  • You’re eager to learn and are always seeking opportunities to improve your skill-set on a daily basis
  • High volume and a large pipeline doesn't scare you. You aren’t afraid to disqualify leads and opportunities when there is not an institutional benefit or clear fit
  • You have experience and feel comfortable selling SaaS technology almost exclusively into the C-Suite.
  • Even with SDR support, you’re eager to make cold calls and advance your own pipeline.
  • You enjoy learning and strategizing with your peers and don’t have a lone wolf mentality.

Required Experience and Skills

  • 2-3 year as an Edtech or Edtech SaaS Account Executive
  • Highly skilled at virtual meeting facilitation using Zoom
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to identify new departments, titles, positioning, and use cases that accelerate sales cycles
  • Maintain and manage your own pipeline of accounts and qualified opportunities through Salesforce.
  • Work closely with a team of Sales Development Representatives to better and more efficiently drive qualified opportunities into your pipeline.
  • Consistently forecast monthly and quarterly performance with increasing accuracy.
  • Work transparently to report on sales activities and forecasts to senior management.
  • Learn and comprehensively understand all elements and features of the Class solution, including integrations, security and privacy policies, and any other relevant elements of our company’s value proposition.

Preferred Skills, Experience, Degrees or Certification:

  • Fluent with Salesforce CRM and Google productivity suite
  • Zoominfo, Sales Navigator, Groove, Chorus, and Demandbase proficiency a plus.
  • You’re solution oriented and understand that clients buy solutions and not features.
  • An existing network of contacts and relationships in K12
  • Comfortable leading product demonstrations to all types of audiences
  • Ability to manage the full-cycle of lead prospecting and generation to close
  • Proven track record of overperformance in a sales environment (percentage to quota, any other awards or recognitions)
  • A self-starter with a track record of successful and credible enterprise deal development, negotiations, and closing skill sets
