Position Overview

Reporting directly to the VP of Sales, the Jr Account Manager is an entry-level role and will have the opportunity to learn the business and advance in the organization. The business provides Pumps, Valves, Parts and Services primarily supporting the US Navy.

Job Responsibilities

Manage smaller customer accounts. Good organizational skills, communication skills both on phone and in person, quick learner – will need to learn our processes, ERP system)

• Prepare and issue quotations
• detail oriented, resourceful: able to analyze situation to know what resources to use and how to use them, not hesitate to ask questions)
• Order entry
• detail oriented, able to learn from notes taken, ask questions
• Resolve order issues
• Must be resourceful, analytical
• Provide "voice of the customer" within our business
• Analyze/understand what is being requested and translate to internal customers (other departments): Engineering, Operations, Quality
• Timely follow up/responsiveness, must be good communicator both oral and written
• Provide administrative support for Account Managers including:
• Process and maintain order supplements
• Prepare paper and electronic contract review files
• Maintain and update customer delivery and order status files
• Maintain and prepare various reports
• Support invoicing and milestone payments
• Participate in various interdepartmental meetings to represent sales
