Position: Director of Sales & Marketing/ VP Of Sales & Marketing

Location:             Cincinnati, Ohio (office)

Do you have the ability to strategically lead a technical sales team and a creative Marketing group through explosive growth? If so, our Director of Sales & Marketing position may be for you.

The ideal candidate is a strategic leader, motivated, well-organized, and technical with a deep understanding of both sales hunting and farming.  This person is equal parts leader, teacher, coach, and contributor.

In this position you will be putting together Sales and Marketing strategies and programs that take advantage of our leading-edge wireless technology products that continue to drive growth with new OEMs in a wide variety of markets and industries. In addition, you will manage and grow your own strategic account base with the ability and drive to become the company’s top producer. The Director of Sales & Marketing is a key member of the management team and a strong voice in the new products we develop and how we go to market. This position is critical to the company’s long-term growth and will be personally rewarding for someone who wants to make a difference.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage/Mentor a team of strong technical salespeople—ensure they stay trained, positive, motivated, and focused on winning new OEM business.
  • Manage/Mentor our Marketing Team with a focus on new programs and campaigns that directly impact new OEM sales growth.
  • Develop and execute new strategies, markets and programs that results in the company meeting established sales and profitability goals.
  • Develop and grow your own strategic account base in markets and channels that open doors for the company to continue our fast-paced growth.
  • Become a go-to technical resource for our customers, your team, and the company.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of business-to-business sales experience that includes successfully hunting for new OEM opportunities; experience in the industrial IoT/ home automation markets a definite plus.
  • Prefer 3-5 years’ experience in a sales management role with increasing responsibility.
  • Experience in both inside and outside sales, preferably as both a salesperson and sales manager.
  • Experience as a true sales hunter with strong phone skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail, organized, and accurate.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Superior problem-solving skills.
  • Electrical and Mechanical aptitude a plus
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience.
