The sales operation analyst evaluates and identifies trends in sales by analyzing industry data, from both within a company and outside. This position will support sales planning and analysis activities and champion the development of polices and procedures to support best practices in sales forecasting, reporting, and communications. Other responsibilities include conducting data analysis, reporting, market research, competitive analysis, planning, and sales process optimization. The sales operations analyst will interact regularly with sales team members, product management / marketing team and the vice president of sales and marketing, CFO and CEO.


  • Reporting and analysis for the Sales and Marketing Departments, including executive reporting of sales and marketing results, metrics and KPIs.
  • Collect, consolidate, and generate weekly/monthly/annual sales reports as required by management. Recommend revisions to existing reports.  Assist in the implementation of new reporting tools as needed. Present actionable information and insights to team members and management
  • Proactively analyze win-loss data and report on key findings to sales leadership.
  • Assist in the development of sales pipeline reporting for newly acquired companies’ sales departments to ensure a seamless transition onto WRT’s system platforms.
  • Work with the IT Department to develop a more efficient CRM user interface for the sales team that will produce more accurate data for management.
  • Research and develop new ways to better reach customers and improve customer relationships through online platforms.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to measure the effectiveness of the companies lead generation and marketing initiatives and to determine how to best set the company apart from its competitors.  Collaborating with marketing teams is frequently a key component of opening new markets for growth.
  • Assess the company’s sales and marketing budget to guide investments in marketing and promotions and provide advice on future budget development. Additionally, sales analysts may examine operational budgets to identify business areas that are not providing a return on investment (ROI) for the company.

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, marketing, or finance
  • Proven experience with CRM systems; preferably Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Strong knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software
  • Advanced problem-solving and analysis skills
  • Superior oral and written communication skills
  • High level of organization and detail-orientation

This is a full-time, exempt position.  Days of work are Monday through Friday during regular business hours. This position may require long hours and some weekend work as necessary to meet the business obligations.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak or hear. This role also requires the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand, or climb stairs as necessary.

This job operates in a professional manufacturing office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.  The job will travel 50% if the time, potential for international travel.  Having a passport or the ability to obtain a passport is required.
