JOB DESCRIPTION

Overview:

The National Senior Housing  Business Development Manager develops/leverages new and existing relationships with Multifamily housing clients to offer green solutions that achieve energy savings through the design and retrofit of apartment buildings. The BDM works closely with multiple departments within ICAST to develop green solutions for MF property Owners, Managers, Developers etc.

ICAST (International Center for Appropriate and Sustainable Technology) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that delivers green upgrades to multifamily affordable housing (MFAH) properties to fight the affordable housing, climate change, and social equity crises. We motivate people to act, leading to results that foster local economic development, environmental stewardship, and social responsibility in underserved communities. By 2025, we aim to serve 100,000 LMI households annually, reduce their utility costs by $270 Million and Carbon emission by 1.5 million tons, create 2,000 sustainable jobs and invest over $100 Million in local communities.

Your typical day might include these activities:

  • Networking with, and prospecting of professionals involved with or connected to the Multifamily Senior housing industry to develop a sales pipeline
  • Performing on-site assessments of properties
  • Working collaboratively with ICAST Engineers & Construction Team to develop green retrofit proposals based on your site assessments
  • Presenting retrofit proposals (Scopes of Work, Contracts) to customers
  • Closing contracts!
  • Maintaining customer and project records in Salesforce CRM
  • Reporting on pipeline, conversion rate, weekly/monthly performance metrics

Must Have Qualifications:

  • Possess existing network of Senior Housing (incl. Assisted Living) clients (to whom you have sold to previously)

Desired Qualifications:

  • 3-5 Years of experience in B2B Sales – Construction or Clean Energy preferred
  • Knowledge of utility rebate programs and incentives
  • Familiarity with Salesforce CRM, MS365 (Outlook, Excel etc.)
