Job Title: Senior Director of Business Development (Medicare/Provider Relations) - REMOTE

Organizational Overview:

Advise is a physician-aligned Medicare insurance agency that focuses on the primary care doctor - patient relationship above all else. Advise specializes in helping physicians meet their Medicare growth and retention goals through our high touch ‘concierge model’ that utilizes physician-branded outreach and education year-round to engage senior patients in their healthcare choices.


Role’s Purpose:

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the entire business development (B2B) cycle, including strategic analysis for market entry, identification of new partnership opportunities, research and due diligence, development of pitch presentations, and in some instances conducting presentations to communicate the value of Advise with prospective partners.  You must be able to maintain a data-driven, measurable growth pipeline, as well as manage multiple external relationships across the various stages of the business development life-cycle.


Skills needed to be successful as a Senior Director of Business Development:


  • Strong understanding of the Medicare insurance industry and/or Medicare population as it relates to primary care organizations or health system.
  • Background or experience implementing patient acquisition and retention strategies
  • Understanding of population health or risk-based contracting with provider organizations
  • Ability to complete comprehensive market level analysis to identify opportunities for growth on both a qualitative and quantitative basis
  • Understanding of financial drivers of healthcare industry, specifically related to the Medicare population
  • Advanced powerpoint development skills
  • Experience developing presentations, and presenting to senior leadership and external executives
  • Strong relationship management
  • Project management skills and attention to detail
  • Working knowledge and understanding of CRMs


Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s degree is preferred.
  • 8 years’ experience working in B2B growth/business development, strategic planning, or managed care
  • 5 + years working with the Medicare program and/or health system or medical group relationships
  • Quantitative, and qualitative analysis skills, including familiarity with financial modeling and valuation techniques
  • Experience with managed care or value based care delivery


Travel Requirement:

Variable; up to 40-50% throughout the course of a year.
