JOB DESCRIPTION

Overview: Viewpoint Systems is a technology company located in Pensacola, FL that designs and manufactures world-class video and surveillance products that are used within the Defense Industry.  We are looking for a Business Development Executive to help further accelerate our sales growth.   This individual will be responsible for identifying and contacting potential clients, meeting with those clients, and educating them on Viewpoint’s products.  The ideal candidate for this position will be ambitious, self-motivated, and personable with great communication, listening, and writing skills.  Must also be well organized and detail oriented.  A large portion of this job will involve arranging meetings and then traveling to meet with potential customers. The employee in this position should be comfortable making cold calls as part of this effort and will need to spend a significant amount of time traveling both domestically and internationally. Viewpoint will provide a database of target accounts.

Job Location: We will consider staffing this position remotely but are only excepting candidates that are within a 6 hour driving range ( approx. 450 miles) of Pensacola, FL or who are located in a city with round trip flights to Pensacola of less than $250.

Requirements: The ideal candidate will:

  • Have at least 7 years of stable work experience in sales with a proven track record of success
  • Have worked in a sales organization with growth quotas
  • Have experience prospecting for new business
  • Be proficient with Microsoft Office products (Power Point, Excel, Word)
  • Have an undergraduate degree or higher
  • Be willing to travel at least 50% of the time
  • Have a competitive background in some type of sport
  • Be organized, ambitious and self motivated
  • Have excellent time management skills

Compensation: Employees meeting baseline performance expectations will start at $80K per year with the opportunity to earn well into the six-figure range from sales commissions.  Long term income potential (3 to 5 years) is > $250K per year.
