Summary:

The Sales Manager drives and supports a team of Inside Sales Account Managers and Technical Specialists to obtain the organization’s sales goals, and to maintain a high level of organizational and customer tech support.  The Sales Manager is expected to be an energetic, hands-on, enthusiastic team builder who demonstrates leadership across all of RANDYS Worldwide. 

 

The Sales Manager plans and implements sales programs, both short and long range, targeted toward existing and new markets by performing the following duties:

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manages a large team of Inside Sales Account Managers that contact partners through, but not limited to phone calls, email, mailings,  and trade shows to communicate opportunities to purchase  products to both existing customers and prospects.
  • Extensive experience in prospecting, and adding new customers.
  • Facilitate new processes, tools, communications, training, and methodologies to ensure sales program’s success across the company.
  • Facilitate program requirements gathered from feedback and direction gathered through direct contact with customers and account managers.   Programs are intended to augment sales, marketing, development, support, product management, technology, and others as needed.
  • Develops customer contacts lists and associated audit tools.  Tools should have a focus on both individual and overall group results in terms of sales, leads, planning, sales pipeline and customer relationship management.
  • Coaches and supports employees involved in complex selling situations to help them develop and implement focused strategies.  Capable of developing meaningful sales tracking tools and reportable metrics aimed at measuring organizational sales objectives. Implements action plans to ensure the representatives have quality sales, account planning, prospecting, and customer service skills.
  • Meets daily with employees to provide one-on-one coaching.
  • Identify personal areas for growth and development, and accesses training or development experiences to address growth areas.
  • Collaborates with the Director of Sales and General Manager as needed.
  • Able to effectively communicate with cross functional teams in all locations.

Supervisory Responsibility-

This position manages the inside sales team, consisting of Sales Account Managers, Business Development Managers and Technical Specialists.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or combination of equivalent education and/or experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years Sales Management experience with progressive managerial responsibilities.

Knowledge and Personal Attributes:

  • Demonstrated focus on customer service and team building.
  • Must be a self-starter, self-motivated; possess outstanding business acumen and self-discipline.
  • Proficient communicator with outstanding time-management skills, strong sense of urgency and natural ability to prioritize for self and team. 
  •  Passionate sales person with strong negotiating skills.
  • Enthusiastic, persevering and reliable in daily conduct.
  • Practical problem solver, analytical and timely.
  • Creates an environment where employees are excited, engaged, and capable of delivering exceptional performance. 
  • Working knowledge of multiple distribution channels, including broad-line as well as value added distributors and resellers.
  • Demonstrated record of achievement in prior sales related position.

 

         Computer Skills: Proficiency in use of MS Word, Excel, Outlook and CRMs
