Struers, (www.struers.com) the  world's leading manufacturer of materials testing equipment and consumables, is looking for a Service Contract Sales Representative to promote the sale of service contracts and preventive maintenance service to existing Fortune 500 customers and clients. 

Located in Westlake, Ohio the Service Contract Sales Representative will be responsible for promoting service contracts to both internal and external customers, responding to customer inquiries and making cold calls to prospects in the Struers database.   The ideal Service Contract Sales Representative is a results driven sales professional and an excellent communicator who thrives working in a team environment.

Struers has affiliates in 22 countries and sells materials testing equipment and consumables to manufacturers of automotive, aerospace, electronics, materials manufacturing and a wide variety of other industries which must measure and control the quality of the solid materials used in production.  Our customers rely on our products for Materialographic Sample Preparation, Image Analysis, Hardness Testing and Microscopy.

Responsibilities

  • Sales driven position responsible for the sale of service contracts and preventive maintenance service by making sales calls to prospects in the Struers database
  • Renew existing service contracts
  • Promote the sales of preventive maintenance contracts/service to customers who have equipment under warranty and coming out of warranty
  • Analyze the contracts to determine profitability
  • Accurately maintain sales force automation database with account information
  • Work closely with marketing to increase the customers’ awareness of Struers’ service offering    
  • Perform administrative and support duties such as accurate completion of customer correspondence and quotations requests in order to promote the best possible level of service

Qualifications

  • Prior successful service contract sales experience on capital equipment preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Must be organized with the ability to focus on priority projects and tasks
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Expertise with group presentations (PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of computer software programs, Microsoft Office 
  • Occasional overnight travel
