JOB DESCRIPTION

The Technical Sales Consultant will be responsible for marketing high end instrumentation including potentiometric (acid/base, complexometric, precipitation, etc.) and Karl Fischer titration systems to customers in a variety of industries including; Food, Beverage, Water Treatment, Wastewater Treatment, and more. Hanna Instruments, an industry leader in laboratory instrumentation for analytical testing, is looking for a full-time Technical Sales Consultant to join our team in San Francisco, CA.

Job Responsibilities

  • Travel throughout assigned territory to call on established and prospective customers to create demand for laboratory instrumentation. This activity includes both personal visits and contact by phone.
  • Develop a list of prospective customers by market in order to schedule appointments.
  • Follow up sales leads generated from trade shows, marketing campaigns, website and other sources.
  • Demonstrate products to the customers.
  • Utilize competitive information and product knowledge to increase market penetration by positioning of products.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry or science related field
  • 1-2 years of sales experience
  • The ability to read and understand technical articles related to applications for our products
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Must be comfortable speaking to groups of customers and industry professionals to promote the company's products and technologies.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 50%.
