Regional VP of Sales - PBM/TPA - Midwest/Southeast - 27038815

Our client is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) or Health Insurance sales producer for their Midwest/Southeast territory of OH, IN, KY, TN, AL, MS, and LA.

This person can live anywhere in the territory.  Most important is this person have strong experience with and solid relationships with Clients, TPA’s, Insurance Brokers and Healthcare Consultants in the territory.  This person is the Vice President of the territory and is a direct producer (you will not be managing staff).         


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients, third party administrators (TPA), insurance brokers and healthcare consultants, and other industry groups important to delivery prescription benefits to self-insured clients.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with all company departments.
  • VP, Sales must sell a minimum of 10,000 lives per year, with an annual quota of 15,000 lives.
  • Deliver presentations and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Maintain existing client relationships by providing on-going consultation in coordination with an Account Manager.
  • Negotiate, sell and manage new and existing relationships and partnerships
  • Assist the Account Management Department with the implementation of newly acquired clients, as well as annual renewals.
  • Complete mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, fractions and ratios, and to find and communicate correlation among factors to explain trends and deliver profitable pricing to clients.
  • Continuously improve knowledge of industry and market place to stay current and increase personal performance.
  • Evening and weekend hours as required.
  • Frequent travel is required.


Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university and four years related experience.
  • Experience selling to TPA’s &/or Brokers
  • Experience selling Stop / Loss preferred
  • Experience in the PBM Industry preferred
  • Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook. Salesforce.com or other sales automation experience a plus.
  • Previous PBM sales experience great but very open to sales producers from the Health Insurance/TPA/Broker market.

     

Compensation: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 (DOE) + Sizable bonus/commission opportunity in addition to listed base salary
 
Locations: Any Major City in OH, IN, KY, TN, AL, MS, or LA

Relocation: No, Candidates must live in the territory
