In this role youll Provide expert technical and commercial sales support to internal and external M-I customers in an operations defined territory. Youll have an opportunity to Contribute to business growth and sustainment through influencing and teamwork abilities. You should possess 5+ years of mission-critical technical sales support related experience and team or project leadership experience. BA or Associates Degree with 3 to 4 years of mission critical experience. Principal Activities / Duties / Responsibilities: 1. Provides technical pre-sales support to Markem-Imaje internal and external customers, by phone or on-site, trains employees, leads on complex installations, finds solutions to unique, complex or recurrent technical problems, projects and applications. 2. Develop and maintain technical and operational competency on all Markem-Imaje products through self-study, training, hands on use and field exposure to customer applications. 3. Will aid in developing, implementing and participating in training courses to continually increase the level of product knowledge of the Americas sales organization on an ongoing basis; as well as continually developing personal knowledge and skills. 4. Must be flexible and capable of adapting too many situational roles including: lead person in an account or project, peer to peer, general support and resource role. 5. Duties may include but are not limited to; new equipment installations, customer training, emergency and routine repair, contract sales and maintenance and any other service related activities as directed by management. General Skills: Expert knowledge of electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical system theory and operation. Technically sound including PLC, Networking and software implementation skills. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as but not limited to; discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, volume, distance and speeds. Requirements: Daily and overnight travel required as customer/business needs dictate sometimes with limited advance notice. Travels outside the assigned territory and to other parts of the United States are required, in accordance with the projects at hand.
