Summary of Position

This position is responsible for the promotion and sale of a broad range of products and solutions under the direction of the Director of Sales. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for the development of all customers in an assigned territory with a focus on opportunities in all Industrial Manufacturing environments.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Maintain contact with accounts at a high, executive level, focusing on the strategic nature of the relationship.

  • Maintain profitable growth of assigned accounts and turnkey projects.

  • Generate new business by strategic alignment with other internal sales channels.

  • Expand and retain key accounts while ensuring ongoing customer service.

  • Set goals and objectives, develop sales/business plans, establish call plans and strategies, develop account profiles and execute the plan.

  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through increased availability, timely communication and following up on accounts.

  • Identify and contact potential customers or prospects Technical degree preferred.

  • Demonstrate the ability to simply and clearly express technical concepts

  • Maintain high standards of quality, professionalism, and workmanship

  • Candidate must have a strong ability to develop and execute business plans resulting in customer business focused on verticals within an industrial environment. Activities to include development of sales opportunities through prospecting within the marketplace, trade shows, and partner networking.

  • Collaborate with sales and operations to develop strategic partnerships

  • The Business Development Manager will utilize product, customer and market knowledge, in addition to excellent sales skills to present customer solutions

  • Candidate must have a strong ability to clearly communicate a compelling message to our customers regarding the advantages of our solutions and product offering

  • Ability to travel up to 50%


Skills and Education

  • Proficient with use of Microsoft Office and Adobe InDesign

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational and follow-up

  • Budget management skills

  • Sales experience in Industrial Manufacturing verticals a plus.
