Security Locknut seeks an entry level Sales Engineer to join our collaborative, tight-knit team. The Sales Engineer will be responsible for account management on current accounts and for identifying opportunities to expand on existing business. This job will also require solid technical aptitude, as the Sales Engineer will be responsible for assisting with engineering projects as their tenure in this role continues and their responsibilities grow. 

This is a great opportunity for an individual with a technical degree (mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, etc.) to learn the ins and outs of a small business directly from the ownership and jump start a career. You will be mentored and managed by the leaders of the organization and be asked to make a significant impact right away. An ambitious, career minded individual who likes to get their finger nails dirty and doesn't want to get lost in the shuffle of a larger organization will do well in this job.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage existing accounts and strategize ways to drive them forward
  • Develop and/or maintain an understanding of the fastener and locknut industry in order to provide technical solutions in a sales environment
  • Work closely with the business owners to expand sales and engineering capacities
  • Solve complex practical problems and prioritize work effectively
  • Think strategically and challenge business owners


Requirements for the Sales Engineer:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent technical degree)
  • Experience with distributor sales/channel management a plus
  • Strong technical aptitude
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office platforms
  • Salesforce CRM experience is a plus
