BDM - Data Center Co-location Services - NYC

This company's data center offerings provide the flexibility, reliability, and security that enterprise customers require and are delivered through a tailored, customer service-focused platform designed to foster long-term relationships. Their software platform provides robust connectivity options to drive revenue, reduce expenses, and improve service quality for enterprises, content, and telecommunications companies. This company is committed to full transparency in communication, management, and service delivery throughout its more than 30 data centers worldwide.

The company provides mission-critical data center facilities that protect and ensure the continued operation of IT infrastructure for hundreds of customers, including many of the Fortune 20 and Fortune 1000 lists of enterprise companies.

Responsibilities:

  • Prospect, qualify and close intermediate technical solution sales
  • Work with the customer to identify underlying causes of customers business problems and recommend the appropriate solutions
  • Manage intermediate, technical sales with highly varied business applications
  • Daily cold-calling in respective market resulting in qualified leads
  • Maintain 6-8 appointments weekly in various phases of the sales cycle
  • Develop customer presentations and participate in customer meetings
  • Consistently achieve targeted sales quota
  • Develop clear, specific, action-oriented account plans to develop large accounts


Experience Required:

  • Proven successful sales experience
  • Excellent presentation and verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Must be able to set goals and develop a business plan
  • Must be self-motivated and activity/performance driven
  • Must be able to learn the solution sales cycle
  • Must be able to effectively use sales automation tools, applications software and equipment to manage the sales/service process
  • Must be willing to learn and adapt as new products are developed


Preferred Experience:

  • Enterprise application (ERP, CRM, etc.) sales to Fortune 2000 size accounts
  • Hosting solution sales (collocation, managed services and professional services) experience required
  • Proven successful sales experience in an IT consulting sales environment
  • Previous experience selling to C-level decision makers in respective business market
  • Strong knowledge of the IT industry



Work Location: New York City, NY

Compensation: $125,000.00 - $135,000.00 Base

On Target Earnings: $250,000.00 - $270,000.00 (No Cap)
