Kurtin Insurance & Financial Services, Inc., is seeking an aggressive Business Development Outside Sales Representative to join our energetic team. We are a full service insurance agency that provides comprehensive coverage to meet a variety of needs. This newly created position will work remotely and be responsible for generating leads, building a book of business and maintaining customer relationships.



This role is geared for a hunter, someone who is not afraid to make the calls and face-to-face visits essential to win the business. Though previous insurance sales experience is not necessary, a solid foothold in an industry where you have strong relationships with business owners that you can sell to will be critical to your success. The right Business Development Outside Sales Representative will have a minimum of 3 years outside business to business sales experience, strong presentation skills and the ability to capitalize on relevant opportunities.

To the right Business Development Outside Sales Representative, we offer:

$40,000 - $50,000 salary based upon experience, plus commission with on target earnings of $70,000 - $80,000

Duties and Responsibilities for the Business Development Outside Sales Representative Include:

Sole responsibility for business development

Spend majority of time on appointments meeting with potential customers

Create proposals

Work closely with Marketing department to execute contracts

Maintain relationships with clients, upholding agencys reputation with professionalism

Additional duties as needed for success



Requirements for the Business Development Outside Sales Representative Include:

Minimum of 3 years outside business to business sales experience

College Degree preferred; some college required

Able to work remotely and get to clients for appointments on a regular basis

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

Highly self-motivated and tenacious

Ability to influence others

Active listening skills

Detail-oriented and analytically minded

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
