Chief Executive Network, the premier national CEO peer group membership organization, is seeking a competitive and highly motivated Sales Representative to join our sales team and interact with some of the most successful CEOs and corporate executives in the U.S. Within an assigned set of industries, the Executive Director/Sales Representative will sell new memberships to the Chief Executive Network.

Through membership in our Chief Executive Network, CEOs and other senior executives participate in industry-specific peer groups, where they learn and share ideas and also take advantage of our benchmarking and proprietary research surveys. Through these tools, the Chief Executive Network gives CEOs unique insights into data and trends that help them effectively lead their organizations. Exceptional compensation and benefits for the Sales Representative include:

Competitive base salary as well as uncapped commissions, with first year on-target total estimated earnings of $115,000-$125,000+

Responsibilities for the Sales Representative:

Working closely with the President of CEN, the Executive Director will sell memberships within an industry vertical by utilizing warm leads as well as new prospects you have identified and qualified. With the primary goal of increasing sales, you will also act as a resource for members on key business issues, benchmarking data, and other various networking opportunities.

Specific responsibilities for the Sales Representative include:

Calling on prospective small & mid-market CEOs and senior company executives and cultivating their interest in becoming a member of the Chief Executive Network

Procuring recommendations for nominations from existing clients

Attending CEN meetings within the assigned industry vertical, utilizing those meetings as opportunities to further develop client relationships and leads

Reporting directly to the CEN President on successful sales techniques including engaging in frequent role-play, read-outs, development of metrics/forecasts, and briefings

Disseminating content marketing information, new research, and helpful anecdotes to existing and prospective members, with the aim of growing new memberships

Qualifications for the Sales Representative:

The ideal candidate for the Sales Representative role will be a highly-motivated salesperson, adept at building and leveraging relationships to increase sales. You will have a sales style that is consultative and assertive, as well as a professional communication style that is well-received by corporate executives. The Sales Representative will have a passion for exceeding sales targets, as well as a competitive yet collegial work ethic that sets the standard for the entire sales team.

Specific qualifications for the Sales Representative include:

Bachelors degree

Demonstrated success using a repeatable sales strategy to routinely close B2B sales

Strengths in consultative selling and long-term relationship building, including the ability to quickly and handily build rapport with new and existing clients

Superior phone skills coupled with the comfort level and desire to spend the bulk of each day calling on existing and prospective clients

Ability to travel up to 9-10 times annually to attend assigned industry-specific CEN networking sessions

Experience selling to C-suite level executives, a plus

Experience using social media tools (e.g. LinkedIn) to assist with communicating with target clients and prospects, a plus
