We are looking for a territory sales manager to join our team. This position will be based out of Northern California and covering the Northwest Territory, Oregon, Idaho and Washington.

SUMMARY
The Territory Sales Manager (TSM) is responsible for developing Java City business within a defined territory. The TSM will drive new sales growth while working to maintain existing business. This will be accomplished through a combination new business sales calls including sales presentations, networking with existing customers, conducting business reviews, and working with location management to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring operational excellence.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. New Business Sales
A. Deliver new sales goals within Non-commercial, Healthcare, College/University, Convenience store and Restaurant channels
B. Use a consultative sales approach to develop our best solution
C. Create and deliver sales presentations tailored to fit customer needs

2. Business Development
A. Build strong relationships and account plans with existing customers to assist them with profitable business growth
B. Conduct periodic location assessments to review product quality, guest service, sales & marketing, staff training, equipment performance, inventory levels and location profitability. Ensure coffee and espresso equipment are delivering optimal flavor characteristics and product yield
C. Document areas of opportunity through written action plans in addition to in-person meetings with location management
D. Conduct periodic business reviews with key management of accounts to identify areas of opportunity
E. Use a consultative sales approach to lead customers to a best fit solution
F. Track territory sales and identify trends in the overall business along with strategies to keep on track to budget
G. Maintain accurate tracking of sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, account wins and follow up activities

3. Training:
A. Facilitate training programs as needed with large customers utilizing Java City tools.
B. Conduct train the trainer sessions to ensure Java City operational standards are supported by location management as needed
C. Provide periodic coaching sessions for in-store team to ensure proper techniques and standards are executed successfully as request

4. Others duties as assigned


MINIMUM SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
A TSM must have a strong knowledge of coffee and exhibit a passion for the product that inspires others
Four year college degree or equivalent experience
5 -7 years of food & beverage sales experience with a proven track record of new business sales and the ability to manage existing customers over a multi-state territory
Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint and ability to use/learn company specialized software and hardware
Ability to listen, interpret and communicate new information effectively in both written and oral form
High degree of organization, ability to prioritize, attention to detail and ability to multi-task
Interpersonal skills required to interface effectively with all levels of management, both in the field and at the corporate office
Excellent customer service, written, verbal and interpersonal communication and presentation skills
Ability to locate cost-effective and book online travel arrangements
