Emilcott is a highly customer-centric, market-driven company, responding to current industry trends in the environmental, health and safety (EHS) field. We are looking for an experienced Business Development Professional to lead the organizations sales efforts. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record selling consulting services and or environmental technologies, and experience creating opportunities to offer value-added solutions to clients in the engineering, environmental, construction and related arenas. We are looking for a door-opener who will drive business growth in our current client base, with a particular emphasis on strategically expanding opportunities in new markets for our proprietary Greenlight real-time, environmental/air monitoring technology. This is a very dynamic and results-oriented position requiring a high level of collaborative abilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibility of the Manager of Business Development will be to drive business growth and be the primary sales representative. Working with our team of experienced and dedicated EHS professionals to close sales, and a small marketing team to generate leads, this position will be responsible for planning and implementing sales to fill the pipeline. Particularly, they must meet specific targets to expand the depth and breadth of Emilcotts market share for EHS solutions within the consulting engineering, construction, transportation, and energy sectors.

To be successful, the Business Development Manager will:

Look for opportunities for new business, initiates contacts and sets meetings
Open doors to sell companys products and services; meets with key clients, assisting Business Unit Directors and executive staff with maintaining relationships, negotiating, and closing deals
Help write proposals, follow-up on opportunities
Represent company at trade association meetings to promote services/products
Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers, key strategic partners, subcontractors and clients
Develop and manage the business development operating budget
Manage the CRMprepare sales KPI reports (sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion)
Oversee and evaluate marketplace research and adjust business development strategy with particular emphasis on regulatory driversto meet changing market and competitive conditions
Steers product / services positioning and pricing strategies to produce the highest long-term market share
Coordinates cross-selling across Business Units

REQUIREMENTS

10+ years progressive experience demonstrating direct sales success in a technical fieldpreferably selling to high level decision-makers in the engineering, environmental, construction or energy sectors
Prior experience working with an operational consulting teamleveraging their expertise with own
Comfortable creating business opportunities in a highly-technical / scientific field


EDUCATION
Bachelors Degree (Business, Engineering or Technical); an advanced degree highly desired (Marketing or MBA)
