Show-Me Publishing is the leading publisher of business news and B2B information in Missouri and Kansas. Doing business as Ingrams Magazine, were launching a series of statewide Destination Missouri and Destination Kansas publications and Web sites. After 42 years in business, we are pleased to count among our readers some of the top business and civic leadership in the two-state region.
We currently have advertising sales positions open in our Kansas City, Mo., corporate headquarters, and were seeking statewide sales reps based in St. Louis and central Missouri. We value and support our new advertising sales team members and look forward to working with them to roll out our new Web-site expansion. Our prospects are the top businesses that operating in Kansas and Missouri, and you will be making presentations in person, on the phone and over the Internet. Previous media experience is a plus.
Job description:
Inside sales, making an average of 40 outbound phone calls per day
New business development
Responsible for management and growth of existing advertiser accounts
Fast-paced sales cycle with multiple publishing deadlines
Great team atmosphere with bonus incentives
Full-time position requiring occasional travel, but otherwise, few nights or weekends
Job requirements:
Minimum of 2 years successful sales experience, including business development
Documented income history demonstrating successful sales results
Outstanding consultative sales skillswe want a great communicator and conversationalist
Organized self-starter who is focused on goals
Motivated to succeed with a strong work ethic
Persuasiveness and persistence, with strong closing and negotiating skills
