The Associate/Financial Analyst position on Manhattans leading Investment Sales Team requires a wide range of responsibilities and skills that are focused on the financial analysis of commercial, residential and mixed use properties in Manhattan. The individual must perform at a high level in an extremely time sensitive, team environment.

These responsibilities and attributes include, but are not limited to:

Assisting the designated deal team leader in the financial analysis and underwriting of various asset types. Requires proficiency in Excel. Proficiency or exposure to Argus preferred but not necessary.
Performing due diligence of the financial information related to assets distilling relevant information and documenting and resolving any discrepancies.
Reviewing commercial leases, service contracts & other legal documents and creating abstracts.
Analyzing income and operating expenses, escalations and reimbursements.
Client interaction both face-to-face and via phone. The financial analyst must possess outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, and be able to interact confidently with investors and clients.
A strong grasp of financial principles and concepts that is crucial to the underwriting and valuation of real estate (e.g. NOI, Cap rates, IRR, PV concepts, etc).
Ability to perform under pressure and in a time sensitive manner. The analyst is normally staffed on multiple assignments, which are in various stages, and must be able to treat each deal as a priority.
Ability to learn quickly and grow skill set and knowledge base.
Ability to work within a team structure. A Financial Analyst is normally assigned to a deal with a Transaction Leader and must be able to work effectively within this framework.
Market Knowledge familiarity with New York and New York real estate is a definite plus.
