About the Position:

As an Outside Business Development Representative for Philippi-Hagenbuch, Inc. you will be working for the Vice President of Sales & Marketing with a group of Inside Sales and Business Development Representatives. The unique focus of this role is to expand PHIL business with Open-Pit mines located within a multi-state territory in the Western United States. This is accomplished through developing and implementing sales strategies within an existing client base, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, and communicating with clients how partnering with PHIL will result in a significant return on investment.

This position will work out of a home office in one of the following communities: Salt Lake City or Elko, Nevada; Tucson or Phoenix, Arizona; Denver, Colorado; or Gillette, Wyoming and will be traveling up to 75% of the year.

Industry experience is required.

Experience Required:
Preferred Sales Experience
o5 years+ in a quota-driven sales position
oExperience with customer service
oExperience giving presentations
oSelling product with long sales cycles
oSelling high dollar products
Working Knowledge and Industry Experience
oManufacturing, Construction, Mining, Off-highway haul trucks, etc.
Average Day from Home Office (10% of the Year):
Requesting feedback on PHIL product and service
Developing new leads
Providing customer support to existing PHIL customers (Part and product support, Installation support, Follow-up with existing customers)
Researching and gaining additional understanding of PHILs product, brand and customers
Networking with existing contacts to establish new leads
Entering in customer interactions into Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
Performing ROI analysis on client truck fleets

Average Day Traveling (75% of the Year):
Customer visits, often to remote mining locations
Training opportunities
Visits to the Peoria, IL office
Attending and working at industry trade shows

Multi-state territory in the Western United States

Sales Cycle:
Standard Product: 3 months 1+ year
Special Product: 6 months+
