Spotts Insurance Group, an award winning Greater Reading area Nationwide Insurance agency, is seeking a confident, self-motivated Sales Representative to join our team. With over 20 years of experience, our established agency has been recognized by the Greater Reading Chamber of Commerce as a Top 50 Business in 2014 and has received the prestigious Nationwide Insurance Presidents Award for eight years. We are seeking to expand our book of commercial insurance clients and that will be the Sales Representatives primary focus. Key Responsibilities for the Sales Representative:

Prospecting for new business through leads, phone calls, networking events and personal contacts
Preparing quotes and applications and delivering effective presentations in order to close sales. Must comply with underwriting guidelines and contact appropriate division for underwriting guidance when needed
Conducting sales and review appointments with prospective and current customers
Maintaining a pipeline of businesses for potential sales opportunities
Meeting and exceeding sales goals within company guidelines
Getting involved in community events, groups or networks

Key Requirements for the Sales Representative:

Property and casualty license not required, but preferred
Self-starter with commercial insurance sales experience
Proven ability to close and build relationships
Ability to provide professional advice and customized insurance products
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and various Windows applications
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Effective presentation skills
Solid work ethic, integrity, and reliability
Upbeat, personable attitude with genuine eagerness to win and be successful
Familiarity with the Applied Agency System a plus
