SUMMARY: As a Residential Security Consultant (RSC), grow the customer base by selling customized security systems, monitoring services, extended warranties and home automation technologies to homeowners and small businesses through cold calling, participating in community events and activities designed to generate customer awareness and interest, solicit referrals from existing and new customers, build a robust affiliate marketing and referral team, leverage social media, work directly with organizations and basic networking within an assigned territory to generate new business.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. To perform this job successfully the Residential Security Consultant may be expected to perform some or all of the duties listed and perform other duties as assigned.

Presentational Excellence
- The rep will present Protection 1's products and services as a Brand Ambassador to potential and existing customers with the utmost integrity, ethics and professionalism.
- RSCs are expected to provide potential and existing customers with a true, branded, multi-step consultative sales experience as designed by the company and in conjunction with tools and technologies provided by the company while keeping the customers total satisfaction as the top priority.

Territory Management
- On-site cold calling of homes and small, Main Street style businesses as well as territory networking with realtors, builders, financial institutions, home inspectors, etc, identifying and working with civic, fraternal, denominational, industry, community and other organizations to generate networks for new business and increase the overall active customer base within the territory.
- Working with various available tools and research, determine territory demographics such as Single Family Dwellings, Average Income, concentration of existing customers, etcto identify areas of opportunity and work through said areas methodically, purposefully, diligently and in a logical manner.

Business Development
- The RSC will operate primarily within a pre-assigned geographical territory where they will receive media generated sales leads but will be expected to utilize existing and develop innovative, high ROI activities, programs and procedures to entrepreneurially generate a majority of their prospects and sales through their own organic, strategic and creative efforts.
- Solicit referrals during and after sales presentations as required, through building a referral network of marketing affiliates, by leveraging social media and through ongoing customer relationship management activities.

Performance Management
- RSCs will be measured by various industry metrics and key performance indicators and continued employment will be predicated upon meeting or exceeding minimum performance expectations and behavioral standards.

People Development
- Continuing education through our LMS system and periodic recertification will be required to be a representative of Protection 1.
- Assisting in recruiting and the performance of our team is the responsibility of EVERYONE in a high-performance, world-class sales culture. Developing and improving upon our Customer First mentality, best practice sharing, attending regular sales meetings and training classes offered will be critical for our success.
- We expect our RSCs to WOW customers through service, embrace and drive positive change, be courageous and creative, be passionate about life safety, be honest and forthright, and help us maintain a fun, family-like culture across all channels.
- Sales will include on-site sale of security systems and automation technologies to customers, add-ons to new and existing customers, new owner sales, warranty sales, armed response sales, and signing customers up for auto pay.
- Schedule new on-site appointments with homeowners or business owners to complete sales presentations, and keep pre-scheduled appointments.
- Comply with Protection 1s vehicle policy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Superior organizational and follow-up skills.
- Extensive driving in personal vehicle.
- Varied schedule including evenings and Saturdays (required).
